Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa launched the Mitra app for Teachers from Vidhana Soudha on Friday, August 28.
“The process of teacher transfers will be processed through the app from this year onwards. We hold teachers in high esteem and our government has responded positively to their demands,” said BS Yediyurappa.
The government had announced about the app during its budget session.
The chief minister said that teachers won’t have to take leave from school and visit the department office from now onwards to apply for transfer. They can do so online after downloading the app on their mobile phones.
A critic book ‘Vidya Vineetha’ written by different authors on Suresh Kumar and his contributions to education was also launched on the occasion.
Yediyurappa praised Suresh Kumar for making transfer policy simple, saying that the education minister has brought relief to many teachers in the state.
