CM, leaders condole Amarnath Shetty’s death

Bengaluru: Leaders cutting across political parties in Karnataka condoled the demise of former minister Amarnath Shetty, who passed away on Monday after a prolonged illness.

Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa expressed “shock” over the death of the former minister. “May his soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family members,” tweeted CM’s official Twitter handle.

In his condolence message, former chief minister Siddaramaiah wrote, “It is sad to learn about the sad demise of one of the senior JDS leader. We worked together in when I was in JDS party. May his soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family members.”

Taking to Twitter former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, worte “Saddened to hear about the demise of senior JDS leader and former minister Amarnath Shetty. My deepest condolences to his family members & well-wishers.”

Former Prime Minister and JDS leader HD Devegowda too condoled the demise of Amarnath Shetty.
