
CM offers bagina at Kabini, KRS dam for the fifth time

Mysuru: On the occasion of Gauri Ganesh festival, Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on Friday offered bagina at Krishnaraja Sagar (KRS) dam in Mandya district and Kabini dam in Mysuru district.
Stating that he was fortunate to be offering bagina to Cauvery for the fifth time, Yediyurappa said that this was a very happy moment. “Plans are afoot to develop the Brindavan gardens further. The government will also go ahead with the Mekedatu project with the Centre’s consent.”
He further said that irrigation was the first priority of the state government.
“It is fortunate that most of the lakes and reservoirs have reached maximum capacity. Sowing activity has picked up across state,” said Yediyurappa.
