Manipal: Udayavani and Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC) have jointly conceptualized “Namma Sante”, a platform to promote the sale of products of local artisans.
The unique ‘Namma Sante’ exhibition-cum-sale will be held on February 11 and 12 at the MIC Campus.
Namma Sante will be a unique platform designed to promote local entrepreneurs by providing an opportunity for the display of various products, tools, and accessories created by artisans. Many local artisans have already expressed their interest to showcase a wide variety of products including handloom products, handicrafts, and dresses – at Namma Sante.
Additionally, Namma Sante will provide local artisans the opportunity to socialize and exchange ideas and information with the wider community focusing on creating a marketing system for the local cottage industry, exchanging ideas to further develop businesses, or establishing a new business venture.
MIC and Udayavani aim to take ‘Namma Sante’ to provide a unique experience and an uplifting opportunity, and not merely an exhibition.
MIC was established in 1997. It is ranked as one of the top media and communication schools in the country, mentoring world-class media professionals. The organization, which is celebrating its silver jubilee, has been holding several social outreach programs under its social responsibility programs.
