Kalaburagi: State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel on Monday said that the Congress party is not fit to be in the opposition as the infighting has led the party to lose in the elections.

Speaking at the meeting of Prakoshta Pramukhs at Kalaburagi, Kateel said,” Congress is in the ICU and will die before the coming elections.  The party is losing everywhere due to the ‘extreme infighting’ that continued unabated within the party and the central leadership’s inability to handle it. Earlier, there was a saying  ‘Congress means Indira, Indira means India, Indian means Indira’. But now, Congress is not even fit to be in the opposition.”

He further said,” Even though Dr. Mallikarjun Kharge was a minister several times and worked as a union minister, he did not work towards the development of the Kalaburagi district. It is high time that the BJP leaders work for Kalaburagi’s welfare. Also, Congress has gifted terrorism to the nation. All the Congress Prime Ministers have been involved in various scams and looted the country. But during Modi and Vajpayee government there were no scams.”

“Siddaramaiah deserves to be in jail. BJP will soon bring the Kempanna committee report about Arkavati and Reedu out in the public after which he will be in jail forever. There were many scams that happened during his tenure, and DYSP Ganapathi also committed suicide when Siddaramaiah was in power. Siddaramaiah government did not conduct inquiries of these scams,” he added.
