Bengaluru: Opposition Congress has begun an online political campaign named ‘#DeleteBJPNotVoterID’ against the alleged voter fraud in the state.
Over 6.6 lakh voters were allegedly removed from the Bengaluru voter list, it said, and requested the voters to verify their names on the voter list by calling the toll-free numbers or the website created by the Election Commission of India.
The poster for the campaign also told voters to “Raise your objection immediately and delete BJP’s illegal political practices.”
Congress said it will contact at least 10 lakh voters through WhatsApp to raise awareness about the verification of electoral rolls and the “attempts of BJP to destroy the democracy” in India.
