Kundapura: Congress party workers held a protest against the resignation of MLA Srinivas Shetty from here.

The Congress party held protest against MLA Srinivas Shetty and raised slogans for resigning before completing his tenure and joining BJP.

Addressing the gathering, State INTUC president Rakesh Mally said, “Srinivas Shetty has betrayed the trust laid by the citizens who had chosen and elected him. The electorate of Kundapur will teach him a lesson in the next elections,” he said.

Youth Congress leader Amrith Shenoy said that Haladi Srinivas Shetty who was in a responsible position has resigned in a hurry saying that his name is not found in the list of BJP ticket aspirants. “He has betrayed the people of Kundapur with a selfish motive.
