Shivamogga: Former minister and veteran BJP leader K S Eshwarappa has reacted to the case filed against him in Bengaluru’s Special Courts for People’s Representatives by Prashanth Patil, on his brother and Belagavi contractor Santosh Patil’s death case.
Addressing the media on Wednesday, August 24, he said, “I was alleged for Santosh’s death. It was said that my name was found in his WhatsApp chats. As the FIR was filed against me, I immediately resigned with the consent of BJP high command leaders. I clarified the matter with the investigative officer. The investigative report gave me a clean chit. I have no clue as to why he committed suicide. I have no connection to the case. The reason for his death will only be known once the ‘B’ Report is filed”.
“Now that his brother has approached the special court, he has every right to do so. I’m confident that the justice will be served and all the allegations against me will be quashed”, he added.
