Health insurance claims related to Covid-19 are inching towards one lakh as over 90,000 insurance claims have been received for Covid-19 in India. Out of which 6,500 claims are from Karnataka making it the fifth highest in India
Even as Mumbai continues to lead in the number of cases, claims from Delhi and Tamil Nadu are steadying.
Maharashtra made 44,000 Covid-19 insurance claims followed by Tamil Nadu with 12,000, Delhi 10,000
It is said that the sharp jump in the number of claims is because of treatment shifting from government to private hospitals.
