
Covid-19: License of 3 PDS shops cancelled for illegal distribution

Bengaluru: In the wake of illegal distribution of supplies, the Karnataka State Food Commission (UDF) has cancelled the license of three ration shops in the city.
The seized Public distribution shops include, SR 33 and SR 32 run in Shivaji Nagar run by Satya Users’ Co-operative Society and SR 21 at Sapping Road.
Dr Krishna Kumar, chairman, Karnataka State Food Commission (UDF) said that they received complaints of illegal distribution of supplies in the ration shops, following which they conducted an inspection and have decided to cancel the license of three ration shops.
As the nation is now under a lockdown, government has ordered to distribute the supplies of April and May together and the officials are also instructed to conduct an inspection in order to check the distribution and arrangements in the Public distribution shops.
