Covid-19 lockdown: Liquor worth lakhs stolen

Ullal: Unidentified miscreants burgled a liquor shop and stolen liquor worth lakhs in Nithyananda Nagar, Kuthar on Friday, April 3.

As per sources, the wine shop belonged to Purushotham Pilar and thieves tied a cloth in front of the store to break the shutter door. The thieves have stolen liquor and CCTV footage DVR from the shop.

In addition to this, they have stolen 10 cigarette packets from a nearby pan stall.

The state government ordered shut down of all the commercial shops including liquor shops  in the wake of COVID pandemic and supply chain of essentials is allowed.

A case has been registered in Konaje police station on this regard.
