Daddalkadu Govt School building to be inaugurated by Governor Vala on Jan 5th

Mangaluru: The newly constructed building of the government higher primary school at Daddalkadu in Bantwal taluk will be inaugurated by the governor of Karnatala Vajubhai Raudabhai Vala on January 5th.
Durga Friends Club President Prakash Anchan spoke to reporters at the Patrika Bhavan on Tuesday and said that many dignitaries are expected to attend the program along with the governor including union minister D V Sadananda Gowda, district in-charge minister U T Khader, Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippady, MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary and others.
The Club adopted the government school and built the fully equipped building at the cost of Rs 2.20 crore with all basic facilities. For the benefit of the students, 8 rooms were constructed and handed over last year, now altogether 16 rooms will be given over to the public. The club is functioning with the aim to save government schools and to develop them. English will be thought in the primary itself. The school has been developed by the officials of the cub in association with donors and without availing any government funding, he explained.
If there is a movement we will do satyagraha
A few committees have announced that they will indulge in Gokak style movement if opportunity is given to teach English in government school. But they should understand the necessity English medium in the present time. If they start a movement, we will do a save government school and develop it satyagraha, warned Prakash.
Message for the country
In 2015-16, only 30 students were study at the school which was then facing the threat of closure. Within 3 years of the school being adopted by the club, the number of students has crossed 500. We had started a campaign stating, remove our children from private schools and join them to this school.
