Dakshina Kannada: Orange alert issued; Schools and anganwadis to resume tomorrow

Mangaluru: An orange alert has been issued for Dkashinna Kannannda for July 12 by the Indian Meteorological Department. Assessing the weather reports, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K V informed that classes for schools and anganwadis will resume tomorrow (Tuesday, July 12)

” Classes for schools and anganwadis will resume tomorrow with all the precautions. If there are any issues, decision will be taken locally on prior approval from DDPi/CEO ZP/ DC office,” read a press statement by Dr. Rajendra K V.

The schools had remained shut for over a week now due to the harsh weather conditions. Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra KV informed that the schools will remain open full day on Saturdays and the Dasara holidays will be cut short to compensate for the loss of learning hours due to the Monsoon holidays.
