Daylight robbery: A gang loots cash, valuables from a beverage factory in Surathkal

Mangaluru: Cash, gold rings and documents were stolen by a gang which barged into Prem Sagar Bottling and Beverage Factory located opposite Surathkal railway station here on June 25.
The daylight robbery was attempted when the owner of the factory, Dyani Antony Paul, had been to Dubai for business purpose on June 22 and the factory was being managed by Maxim Norhona, the manager here. The robbery was done in the presence of the manager forcibly restraining him and the owner came to know of the incident only after being informed of to by the manager post the robbery.
The robbers made off with the CCTV DVR, hard disk, three gold rings, cash of Rs 1,21,000, cheque books out of which three cheque leaves were signed, mobile phones, GST files, post-dated payment cheques of customers, and three USB and also the technical specification files.
It is alleged that Anil Hegde, Ancil, Mujeeb, Narayana, Uday along with other people, reportedly arrived in a car and committed the theft in the factory. Surathkal police have registered a case in this connection.
