Drug abuse in Kannada film industry: Actress Ragini Dwivedi detained

Bengaluru: CCB officials probing the drug abuse in Kannada film industry detained popular Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi on Friday following a raid at her house.

The surprise raid was conducted at Ragini’s house at around 6.30 am today morning after procuring a search warrant from the court.

It maybe recalled that the CCB had summoned the actress for questioning in connection with the case on Thursday. However, the actress in a series of tweets had said that since she got the notice at a short notice she was unable to depose immediately and sought time till Monday to appear before CCB.

Meanwhile police have also arrested actress Sanjana Galrani’s acquaintance Rahul and Kartik Raju, an acquaintance of actress Sharmila Mandre.
