Rajarajeshwari Nagar police arrested two persons for alleged theft of 1,282 Titan company watches, worth Rs 57 lakh.

Based on the complaint filed by Hanumegowda, the warehouse manager for Jaideep Enterprises, police arrested Zameer Ahmed (28) and Syed Shahid (26) and recovered the stolen wristwatches from their possession.

The theft took place on January 15 night following a road rage incident involving the accused.

As per reports, the tempo with the consignment of the watches had arrived at Jaideep Enterprises from a Flipkart warehouse in Kolar’s Malur. Later at around 10.30 pm two of the warehouse employees John and Bisal drove with the tempo to fetch cigarettes. On the way back, the tempo brushed against the accused’s bike.

Enraged by this Zameer and Syed assaulted John and Bisal who fled from the spot leaving the tempo behind. The accused later drove away with the tempo and then left it near the Maharaja Bar on Javaregowdanadoddy Road after removing the boxes containing the watches.
