Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister and Transport Minister Lakshman Savadi on Monday announced the start of a helpline service from the Transport Department.
“The special helpline has been launched by the Transport Department to provide an immediate response to any problems related to transport, ambulance service and the government’s aid provided to RTC drivers,” the DyCM said.
“If there are any problems or shortcomings regarding transport service, the public can call the helpline on 9449 86 3214,” he added.
“The government has set ambulance service rates for those affected by COVID-19. But in some cases, there have been allegations that the ambulance service is collecting extra fees from the public. It’s not acceptable. Anyone who collects more than the government-set rate is violating the law and strict action will be taken against them,” Savadi said.
