DyCM Savadi write to Union Minister Gadkari to allow bus transport

Bengaluru: State’s Deputy Chief Minister and Transport Minister, Laxman Savadi, has written to Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari requesting resumption of bus services which were cancelled due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
Savadi stated in his letter that the four divisions of the state transport corporation have since the beginning of the lockdown suffered a total loss of Rs 1,600 crore.
He further adds that non-air conditioned buses should be allowed on the roads, with passengers enough to fill the seats.
