Ex-MLC Lakshminarayana quits Congress party

Bengaluru: Former member of the Karnataka Vidhana Parishad (legislative Council) M. D. Lakshminarayana has resigned from the membership of the Congress party.
In his resignation letter submitted to KPCC president D K Sivakumar, he cited unhappiness over the party’s recent actions as the reason for his resignation.
Lakshminarayana, who was an aspirant for Vidhan Parishad membership, reportedly did not get the expected response from the Congress party leadership.
According to speculations, Lakshminarayana is highly likely to join the Aam Admi Party. However, given his good relationship with former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, he joining the BJP cannot be ruled out.
