Five persons died after an auto-rickshaw collided with lorry

Vijayapura: Five persons died on Friday, February 8 after an auto-rickshaw collided with a lorry on national highway 13 near Baratagi Randa in the taluk.

The deceased auto driver is identified as Aravind Agasara (32).  The details of the other victims and deceased are yet to be known.

The auto was heading towards Thidagundi from Donut village when the lorry rammed into it, killing two children, two women and the auto driver on the spot, informed sources. Following the accident, the traffic on NH remained disrupted for sometime.

A case has been registered at Vijayapura police station.
