“Follow K’taka HC verdict, if….”: KSE reacts to Hijab controversy in Mangaluru

A day after the Hijab controversy resurfaced in Mangaluru, former minister K S Eshwarappa on Friday, May 27 said that Muslims must change their mindset.
Muslim students need to abide by the Karnataka High Court’s verdict on Hijab. Few people are trying to stoke the controversy again by misguiding the students. Muslim community leaders must counsel the youth to follow the law of the land.
“Follow the Karnataka High Court verdict and respect the Indian Constitution if you want to stay in India. Muslims must introspect if they can adapt to Indian culture or not,” Eshwarappa told reporters.
On Thursday, Hindu students staged a protest at Mangaluru University campus saying that Muslim students came to class wearing hijabs.
Further, the BJP leader said that the government will identify anti-national elements who are instigating the students and take stern action against them.
