Foreign currency worth Rs 5.52 lac seized at Mangaluru International airport

Mangaluru: Customs officials have seized foreign currency worth Rs 5.52 lakhs from a passenger at Mangaluru International Airport.
The passenger has been identified as Muzakkir Ahamed Faqui Ameda from Honnavara of Uttara Kannada district, he was set to travel to Dubai by flight No SG143
Muzakkir tried to smuggle the foreign currency with denominations in Pound, Dollar, and Kuwait Dinar. He hid the foreign currencies in the inner garments kept in his baggage.
