Gangavati: 5-year-old female leopard killed in road accident

Gangavati: A five-year-old female leopard was killed in a road accident near Hemagudda in Gangavati Taluk on Friday, June 5
It is said that the leopard was hit by an unknown vehicle on Raichur State Highway in the outskirts of Hemagudda village. Forest officials inspected the accident site and the leopard was taken to the Vaddarahatti Nursery. The leopard was buried after medical examination
Hemagudda area is surrounded with hills and many wild animals are seen walking by the road at night and accident involving wild animals has also been increased. Hence, locals have urged to reduce the number of speeding vehicles in the area.
