‘Garba’ video of athletes P V Sindhu, Anju B George, Trupti Murgunde takes social media by storm

Ahmedabad: ‘Garba’ is the centre of attraction during the Navaratri festivity. The dhol beats during Garba makes every individual tap his/her feet. From a commoner to celebrities, rich to poor, everybody joins the event. One such ‘star-studded’ event video has now taken social media by storm.

Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra, ‘Badminton Star’ P V Sindhu, Indian long jumper Anju Bobby George and former Indian shuttler Trupti Murgunde participated in a Garba event held in Ahmedabad.

The ‘star athletes’ were seen dancing with their fans.

Taking to Instagram, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) wrote, “It’s GARBA night for @pvsindhu1. Scintillating SINDHU clicked amidst #navaratri2022 celebrations in Ahmedabad. Look at her enjoying garba with ace athletes @anjubgeorge and @trupti.murgunde.

The video has received 1,31,000 views with 3,026 likes.

Meanwhile, Neeraj Chopra attended a Garba event on Wednesday, September 26 in Vadodara. He was received by the organizers in a grand manner. Neeraj was also seen dancing with some of the members at the event.

The athletes had arrived in Gujarat, for the inaugural ceremony of the 36th National Games.
