Gold seized from two passengers at MIA

Bajpe: Gold being smuggled by two passengers was found and seized by the customs officials at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on Tuesday April 16th. A total of 447.61 gm of the precious metal worth Rs14.09 lakh was seized from them after they arrived on a flight from Dubai.
Of the two passengers, one had concealed 395.26 gm gold worth Rs 12.84 lakh in his anal cavity in the form of paste.
The other passenger had hidden 52.350 gm of the precious metal in the form of a fishing rod in his bag. Its estimated value is around Rs 1.25 lakh.
