Gold worth Rs 29.14 lakh seized at MIA

Mangaluru: Customs officers at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on Wednesday seized gold worth Rs 29.14 lakh from a passenger who arrived here from Dubai.
The accused passenger arrived by Air India Express flight IX384. He hails from Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada district.
The officers seized gold weighing 584 grams, valued at Rs 29,14,160 from the passenger. The gold, in a paste form, was smuggled through body concealment.
A case has been registered.
