‘Gone too soon’: The untimely demise of Balika Vadhu lead actors – Sidharth & Pratyusha

Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla died of a heart attack today, September 2. Soon netizens started talking about how two of the lead actors of Balika Vadhu, Sidharth Shukla and Pratyusha Banerjee died so young.

Pratyusha Banerjee, who played Anandi on the show Balika Vadhu, died on April 1, 2016. She was found hanging at her Goregaon residence and no suicide note was found. She was 24 at the time of her death. Sidharth Shukla died of a heart attack at the age of 40. He was taken to the Cooper Hospital after the heart attack, following which the hospital confirmed his death.

Sidharth and Pratyusha both were popular faces and successful names on television. They rose to fame with Colors TV’s social drama Balika Vadhu.

The postmortem is on at Cooper Hospital and the body will be discharged soon. India Today reported that Sidharth’s post mortem will be recorded on a video.

Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter to condole the death of Sidharth Shukla.

Sidharth Shukla’s team released a statement expressing their shock at his untimely demise.

“All of you have heard the shocking news, we are as much in shock as you all are. We have a request. We really want all of you to respect and stand with us during these tough times. As Sidharth’s PR team we humbly request the media to draw a line and give his family and loved one’s space and let them grieve.

“We are all in pain! We are as shocked as you are! And all of us knew Sidharth was a private person, so please respect his privacy, his family’s privacy. And please pray for His Soul To Rest in Peace.”
