Gram Panchayat Elections: CPI (M)- backed candidate attacked by Cong activist in Harekala

Ullal: In a shocking incident, CPI (M)- backed candidate, Iqbal was attacked by Congress activist, Muneer during the Gram Panchayat polling on Thursday, Dec 24. The attack took place in Farid Nagar, Harekala .

It is said that Iqbal and Muneer were discussing the poll results which resulted in a fight between the two. Iqbal suffered severe head injuries. Both have now been admitted to a private hospital in Deralakatte.

The incident took place in Konaje police station limits and no case has been registered yet
