Gram Panchayat president hacked to death

Dharwad: In a ghastly incident, armed miscreants brutally murdered a gram panchayat president near Agadi Cross here on Friday, November 23 night.

The deceased has been identified as Basavaraj Kadapatti, president of Chabbi Gram Panchayat in Hubballi taluk. Police suspect that he was killed over political rivalry. 

A case has been registered with Hubballi Rural Police and investigations are on.
