Haveri: At least 4 killed as cars smash into each other

Haveri: Four persons were killed in a head-on collision between two cars on the National Highway on the outskirts of Ranebennur city on Friday.

One of the cars in the crash bore a registration plate from Gujarat, while the other was from Kerala.

AS per sources, two of the occupants of the car from Gujarat had died on the spot whereas another was critically injured.

At the same time, two passengers on the Kerala-based car were also killed, sources added.

The injured have been rushed to the Ranebennur Taluk Hospital for medical treatment. The names of the deceased were not immediately known.

Police, including ASP Vijay Kumar Santhosh, visited the accident spot and are investigating the case.
