Gudibande: Around 9,000 chicks in a poultry farm at Cholasettyhalli village of Chikkaballapura district have died due to a flood-like situation.

The poultry farm is owned by Lakshminarayana Reddy.

Reddy has a poultry farm spread across one acre 10 cents land with three sheds. These sheds housed around 12,800 chicks.

On Friday, August 26 morning, heavy rains slashed the village, due to which 9,000 chicks were swept away as the water entered the farm.

Meanwhile, Reddy has suffered an estimated loss of Rs. 15 lakhs and the shed has been devastated.
