Heavy rains: Holiday declared for schools in 3 taluks in Belagavi

Belagavi: A holiday has been declared for primary and high schools in 3 taluks of the district on Monday, July 24, due to widespread rains in the area.

Belagavi Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil in an announcement on Sunday, said that schools in urban and rural areas of Khanapur, Kittur, and Belagavi taluks shall remain closed on Monday.

Over the last three to four days, there has been extensive rainfall in the district, which prompted the decision to prioritize the safety of the children.
