Hijab controversy: Beary Sahithya Academy Prez threatened on phone; complaint filed

Mangaluru: The row over some students not being allowed to wear hijab inside the classrooms at a Government College in Udupi has not ended yet.
Now, Karnataka Beary Sahithya Academy President Raheem Uchil has filed a complaint in Pandeshwar Police station claiming that he received threat calls from an unidentified caller for condemning the students’ demand to wear Hijab inside the classroom.
Uchil claimed that the caller had abused him and threatened to kill him.
Speaking to the media, Uchil said that he is not sacred of threats to his life from the caller.
