
Hit-and-run accident: Speeding car knocks down two-wheeler rider at Padil

Mangaluru: In a case of a hit-and-run accident registered at Nagori police station, a speeding car knocked down a two-wheeler rider at Padil on Thursday, June 2 night.
The victim, Merwyn Pinto, 32, a resident of Meremajal Farangipete has been admitted to a private hospital in Kannur.
The mishap took place when Pinto was headed home from Derebail. He was thrown off his two-wheeler due to the impact of the collision.
The car pulled over at some distance from the accident spot and its occupants came to check on the victim. However, they fled the scene upon seeing his injuries.
Pinto was admitted to a hospital by locals and is said to be out of danger.
