HM Araga Jnanendra approves revised reward amount for people providing crime tip-off

Bengaluru: State Home Minister has approved the sanction regarding reward amount from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 5 lakhs towards people who provide tip-offs on criminal activities like weapon and drug smuggling, atrocities against women and children, etc.
The DG & IGP of Karnataka Police had tabled a proposal of revising the reward amount, which, on Thursday, the minister approved.
The amount was last revised in the year 2017.
In the last three years, no reward amount was released under the financial capacity/authority of the DGP.
