Horrific accident on NH66: Two killed, one critical in car-bus collision

Haleangadi: Two persons were killed and another critically injured as the car they were traveling in rammed into a bus on the National Highway-66 near Pavanje here.

The accident occurred on Friday night at 11 pm.  The deceased have been identified as Bhjanga (58) and Vasanth Kunder. Balakrishna, who was driving the car, was seriously injured and is receiving treatment at a hospital. All were residents of Padre near Mukka, sources said.

The Omni car that was trying to get onto the National highway rammed into the bus that was moving towards Udupi from Mangaluru, eyewitnesses said.

Mangaluru North Traffic police visited the spot and are investigating.
