Hubballi: History-sheeter ‘Fruit Irfan’ shot dead during son’s wedding ceremony

Hubballi: A history-sheeter was killed after unidentified assailants opened fire on him outside a commercial complex near Gudihal Cross on Karwar Road in Hubballi on Thursday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Irfan alias “Fruit Irfan”. His son’s marriage ceremony was being held at the Al-taj Restaurant in the complex.

The shoot-out occurred when he was speaking over the phone by the roadside here.

As per reports, six persons arrived on three bikes and two of them shot Irfan from close range. Later they fled from the spot. Irfan who was bleeding profusely was rushed to a hospital by his relatives where he breathed his last.

The entire incident has been captured on CCTV camera.
