Hubballi: A technical team from France will be visiting the airport here to check the Indigo 6E-7979 flight that suffered a tyre burst while landing on June 14.
Soon after the incident, the runaway of the airport was closed for 12 hours to clear the bursted tyre parts.
The aircraft, flying from Kannur, was grounded at the airport and was visited by a technical team from Bengaluru.
The Directorate-General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) has initiated an inquiry into the tyre burst and their officials too visited the airport to inspect the aircraft.
It was reported that only after the French team reviews the aircraft will it be allowed to fly.
Airport officials, confirming DGCA officials visit to the airport, said that there was no fault on the part of the airport as the runaway, air traffic control and other things were found to be fine on the day of the tyre burst.
