I am an ardent devotee of Koragajja, says Bigg Boss Kannada winner Roopesh Shetty

Mangaluru: Bigg Boss Kannada season 9 winner Roopesh Shetty credited the win to the divine blessings of Koragajja.

“I am a devotee of Koragajja. Koragajja’s blessing is the reason for winning the entire season including the tasks in the Bigg Boss house. When I arrived in Mangaluru, I wanted to go to Koragajna’s presence first,” he said on Sunday.

Roopesh who arrived in Mangaluru after winning the reality show was accorded a warm welcome. He also took out a victory march from Nehru Maidan to Koragajja Kshetra in Kutthar.

Talking to the media, he said, “I am a Tuluva. The people of the state, including people of Tulu Nadu, have showered their love during my Bigg Boss journey. It was great fun to be allowed to perform the culture of Tulunad in the Bigg Boss house. Happy to know that I am the highest-voted person in the history of Bigg Boss and OTT season,” he opined and dedicated the win to his fans.

Opportunity in Kannada too

On the work front, Roopesh said a Tulu movie “Circus” directed by him is ready to release in a few days.  After winning Bigg Boss, he has been getting opportunities in Kannada films. He said that he has received a call for five or six films and he will give complete information soon.

Roopesh said he will share about half of his winnings from Bigg Boss to help families who are struggling without money and to Tulu and Kannada artistes who are in financial trouble.
