Belagavi: A holiday has been declared on Saturday, July 22, for primary and high schools in Khanapur taluk due to widespread rains in the area.
Belagavi Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil made an annoucement to this effect on Friday.
Over the last three to four days, there has been extensive rainfall in Khanapur taluk, which prompted the decision to prioritize the safety of the children.
Additionally, to ensure public safety, access to all waterfalls, except Chikale, Parwada, and Chigule waterfalls in Khanapur taluk, has been restricted, the DC said.
