IPL-2023 Final: Rain halts play as CSK chase formidable target

Ahmedabad:  The highly anticipated IPL final between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was halted due to rain, with CSK at 4-0 in their chase of a daunting target.

GT’s B Sai Sudharsan played a sensational innings, falling just four runs short of a century, to help his team set an imposing target of 215 runs at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday.

Sudharsan’s scintillating knock of 96 runs came off just 46 deliveries, including eight fours and six sixes. He formed crucial partnerships with Shubman Gill (39 runs) and Wriddhiman Saha (54 runs) to guide GT to a formidable total of 214/4 after being put in to bat.
