IT raid on two popular jewellery stores in city

Mangaluru: Surprise raids were conducted by the officials of the Income Tax (IT) department on two prestigious jewellery show rooms in the city on Wednesday, June 26. The showrooms subjected to the IT raid were Sultan Gold and City Gold.

Both the stores are located at Kankanady here and Sultan Gold is owned by Rauf from Kerala. It is learnt that the officials have been scrutinizing files since Wednesday, June 26.

Apparently, simultaneous raids have been conducted by the IT officials at Sultan Gold showrooms in the city, Udupi and Shivamogga.
