“It’s a complete family entertainer”: ‘Banaras’ featuring debutant Zaid Khan releasing today

The movie Banaras, which features debutant Zaid Khan, son of MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan in the lead role, is releasing today.

The trailer and the songs of the film have been a hit, raising the hopes of the film team.

Banaras, meanwhile, is a pan-Indian film directed by Jayatirta. To be released across multiple languages including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, stars newcomer Zaid Khan and Sonal Monteiro.

Zaid Khan, who is excited at the release of the film, in an interview said the movie is a “family entertainer.” The storyline of the film is on a subject that’s liked by all.  “The subject of the movie connects with audiences. The film is made in a unique way. I am confident the movie gives a fresh feel to the audiences,” he said.

“I can’t comment about the movie now. The audience’s opinion will say everything about the film. We’ve got massive positive responses for the trailer. Hopefully, the movie will also get the same response,” he added.

Talking of the struggles for his debut movie, Zaid said that he sought perused several stories, directors as well producers “As I was clear about how my debut film should be, I took a lot of time for the film. Seeing my efforts, my father’s dear friend Thilakraj Ballal came forward to produce the movie,” he said.

The romantic entertainer also has time travel as a theme and has a very intriguing storyline. The movie has been shot in exotic locales in Banaras. The music has been scored brilliantly by Ajaneesh Loknath and all the songs have been hits. Banaras which has been produced by National Khan Productions.
