Mangaluru: KPCC General Secretary Inayat Ali Mulki has urged the state home department to slap UAPA against the accused of the Krishnapura Jaleel murder case.

Speaking to the media on Sunday he said, “The real culprits who killed Jaleel must not be spared and must be booked under UAPA. For the past several weeks, the district has witnessed the act of moral policing. As the police had not taken any action against this, the culprits got a free hand to commit such a heinous crime. Such anti-social elements, irrespective of their religious background, only bring shame to society. Society must out in one voice to condemn such acts and people involved in them.”

“I urge the state government to remain apolitical and provide relief to earlier murdered Masood and Fazil and currently Jaleel’s family a relief amount”, he added.

Meanwhile, he said that regarding this he has already intimated the senior leaders of the party to raise this issue in the Belagavi Winter Session.
