Kadaba: Crackdown against illegal sand dredging near Kumaradhara river

The Kadaba police carried out a successful operation against illegal sand dredging in the Kumaradhara River at Parangaje in Koila village of the taluk.
Acting on a tip-off, Kadaba SI Harish and his team raided the location where the sand was being dredged illegally and seized the equipment used for the act.
Upon reaching the site, the police discovered that the sand was being removed using dredging equipment. A dredging boat that was equipped with a 4 HP motor, a 6-inch diameter, 20-feet-long fiber pipe, six 6-inch diameter, 20-feet-long iron pipes, 14 iron drums fitted to iron pipes, iron mesh, 2 iron hand hoes used for sand removal, and a plastic basket was seized.
The police have submitted a report to the mining department, seeking further legal action against the individuals involved in this illegal activity.
