Kadaba: Tense situation near Ramakunja after rider pulled up by police dies in accident

Kadaba: Hundreds of people gathered and protested at Atturu near Ramakunja in the taluk here creating a tense situation after a person died on the spot when a vehicle collided with him during an inspection.
The deceased has been identified as AP Harris, 35, a resident of Koil village.
Harris was travelling with his mother in his scooter when the police officials at the Atturu check post stopped him and asked him to show his vehicle documents.
Harris, after stopping his vehicle, was crossing the road with his documents when a Tata Ace hit him killing him on the spot.
Hundreds of people gathered at the accident spot, threw aside the barricades there and protested against the police officials for starting to inspect vehicles even before the end of the lockdown relaxation period.
The crowd also demolished a shed built for the police officials to sit.
Senior police officials arrived at the scene spoke to the gathered crowd and controlled the situation.
