Kalaburagi: One killed, 9 injured after bus crashes into parked truck

Kalaburagi: A bus of the Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation collided with a lorry parked on the road at Kurikota village of the Kamalapura Taluk here on Monday early morning, killing the driver and injuring 9 others.

The injured have been rushed to the Gulbarga Institute Of Medical Sciences (GIMS) Kalaburgi for medical treatment. The bus driver, however, died at the accident spot.

Mahagaon Police said, the bus was on its way to Bidar from Ballary when the accident took place.

Police said that they are trying to ascertain the identity of the deceased.

In the aftermath of the accident,  there was a traffic jam on Bidar and Srirangapatna Highway for some time.
