Kaniyoor: ‘Daiva Nartaka’ collapses, dies during ‘Nemotsava’

Kaniyoor: A ‘Daiva Nartaka’ (ritual dancer) collapsed and died while performing the ‘Daiva Nartana’ (ritual dance performance) on March 30 in Idyadka of Dolpadi village near Kaniyoor in Kadaba Taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Kantu Ajila Mulangiri (Babu) (55) of Edamangala village.

He was serving as Daivaradaka and attendant to village deities for several years in Kudukatti of Edamangala village.

On March 30, Kantu Ajila collapses while performing ‘daiva nartana’ during Nemotsava in Idyadka of Dolpadi village. The incident was recorded on a mobile phone.
