‘Kantara’-like traditional model village at display in Sullia!

Sullia: At times when the world is moving towards concrete buildings, and luxury homes in the name of ‘lifestyle’ and ‘development’, here is a model village, that will take you back to your roots.
A traditional model village is on display at the Payasvi Krishi Mela, built on Prabhu Maidan near Sri Chennakeshava Temple.
The speciality of this model village is that is built by a team of 10 artisans who have worked on the sets of the pan-India ‘divine blockbuster’ movie “Kantara”.
The village resembles that of one displayed in Kantara.
The village is built keeping in mind the aesthetics of Tulunadu comprising of Guthu Mane, Kambala, poultry farm, Daiva Chavadi, mud house, tree house, pottery and its equipment, grass huts, etc.
The team from Karkala is involved in the hereditary occupation.
Thousands of people including school children are visiting the traditional model village to witness the past glory.
Meanwhile, the organizers said that the village has taken them back in time.
