The Muhurta ceremony for the highly anticipated sequel to the hit movie “Kantara,” directed and starring Rishabh Shetty, took place at the Kumbashi Anegudde Sri Vinayak Temple in Kundapur on Monday, November 27.

Following the success of “Kantara,” a Kannada film that garnered over 400 crores and gained international recognition, Rishabh Shetty announced the release of Chapter-1 (prequel) during the 100 days celebration.

The film team, after completing location searches and script work, conducted the Muhurta ceremony for the prequel. The first look, featuring Rishab Shetty in a formidable avatar with a trident and an axe-like weapon, was released along with the Muhurta, generating significant excitement.

The poster, released in seven languages, depicts Raudra, showcasing a fierce battle stance. Ajaneesh’s music, featured in the teaser, has already captivated the audience.

According to sources, the prequel of “Kantara” will delve into the origin and birth story of the Panjurli God, offering a narrative spanning from 301 to 400 AD.

The prequel of Hombale’s “Kantara” is set to hit screens not only in Kannada but also in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, and English. The movie is anticipated to release in the summer of the upcoming year.
